Όποιος ξέμεινε και δε βαριέται ας γράψει κι αυτός. Παίρνεις το βιβλίο πιο κοντά σε σένα, πηγαίνεις στη σελίδα 123 (αν δεν έχει τόσες πας στο επόμενο), βρίσκεις την 5η περίοδο (από τελεία σε τελεία μετράνε) και αντιγράφεις σε ποστ από την 6η έως και την 8η.

Thought #72: carnal abstention

Αν αυτό που διαβάζω υπήρχε στην πραγματικότητα, θα αποτελούσα ένα τέλειο παράδειγμα. Μία διαστροφή που κατοικεί μέσα μου αλλά δε βγαίνει ποτέ, η ερωτική δυσπραγία που καταλλαγιάζει τις ορμές με μία ακόμη πράξη αυτοικανοποίησης και η απομάκρυνση των πάντων. Η σταθερή αξία της μοναδικότητας που αδυνατεί να αγαπήσει για να μη σκοτώσει.

Λίγοι και εκλεκτοί χρειάζονται ως εξομολογητές και ως κλειδούχοι της αλήθειας. Μιας αλήθειας σχεδόν ανομολόγητης. Αλλά αμφότερα βήματα οπισθοχώρησης διατηρούν τις ισορροπίες. Τόσο λεπτές που εάν έβγαιναν στην επιφάνεια, θα έσκιζαν τη σάρκα, θα την άνοιγαν σαν άλλο κοφτερό νυστέρι και η αιμορραγία θα ήταν λύτρωση και κάθαρση για μία μιαρή ψυχή.

Στον κόσμο της υπόθεσης, δραματικής πάντα, όσο κι αν φαίνεται σαν κωμωδία από τους άλλους, τα γιατί τα όχι και οι επιφυλάξεις συγκαλύπτονται, δίνοντας χώρο στο βασικό πρωταγωνιστή να ακολουθήσει το δρόμο του. Ένα δρόμο τόσο πεισματικά επιλεγμένο και ψυχοφθόρα οριοθετημένο που δεν παρεκκλίνει από την πορεία του ποτέ.

Κι αν οι προκλήσεις διαδέχονται η μία την άλλη, η ψυχή τραβάει το σώμα ξανά πίσω στην ασφάλεια της μη-επαφής, ώστε να μην υπάρχει μετάβαση σε άλλο σώμα, να μη βρεθώ σε τόπο εγκλήματος, ένοχος, με το βάρος όχι μιας συνείδησης, αλλά ενός κουφαριού το οποίο θα πρέπει επιμελώς να αποκρύψω και ενός θρήνου για μία ακόμη χαμένη ψυχή.

Για εμάς, ο έρωτας είναι μια κόλαση. Αν υπήρχα, θα ήμουνα δαιμονιστής.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

While browsing the Christmas offers on Amazon.co.uk, I caught a glimpse of a small image of Harry Potter which you could click for pre-orders of the 7^th and final book in the series! The book hasn't even got to publishing yet!!! Anyways, the real big news was the title... The rumours claimed it would have been Harry Potter and The Pyramids of Furmat, but J.K. Rowling wittily disclaimed that, writing:

The Pyramids of Furmat lie a few miles east of the famous Fortress of Shadows, not far from the magnificent Pillar of Storgé. Many tourists prefer to view these ancient monuments at night, when they are illuminated by the Green Flame Torch.

All these locations, monuments and items were supposed titles for previous books in the series. On Solstice night, that is December 21^st, as the prophecies had called for, the announcement was made from Rowling's official site, in form of a hangman's puzzle. The Harry Potter Lexikon made this astounding connection: There is a foreshadowing of when the announcement would be made in the 5^th book, Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, chapter 35, in the Hall of Propecy:

"Two figures, pearly white as ghosts, fluid as smoke, unfurled themselves from the fragments of broken glass upon the floor and each began to speak. Their voices vied with each other, so that only fragments of what they were saying could be heard over Malfoy and Bellatrix's shouts. '...at the Solstice will come a new...' said the figure of an old, bearded man.... '...and none will come after...' said the figure of a young woman. The two figures that had burst from the shattered spheres had melted into thin air"

December 21 is the Winter Solstice, and since this is the final book in the series, "none will come after."


Now the hunt for the meaning behind the title has begun. Last time, everyone was trying to figure out who or even what the Half Blood Prince was. This time, rumours are flying about the Hallows (word used for holy relics in the middle ages), most possible connected to or even being the Horcruxes, and their deathly nature.

The wait is far from over. Although Rowling stated she hopes the book would be released in 2007, nothing is set in stone.
