Thought #49: The act of mimesis

The damsel in distress syndrome or pity the fool syndrome. This is how I named my pathetic pursuit for love. Playing dumb, fragile and even dead. Inside. Ever since I remember myself. My storytelling would always be tragic, with me as the main character, in the most pathetic fucked up state imagined.

The matchstick selling baby, the long forgotten and abandoned kid, the cold and lonely boy, the silent observer guy, but always the hiding behind a smile man. The parts I play, I choose and play out myself, which in turn leads to just me appreciating myself and living for lil' old me. Such selfishness... It can't be helped that the audience to my little acts of self-indulgence is limited to one.

Me.

I act out relationships, hopes and dreams with unique skill. Things I know so little about. By simply observing and recreating.

Maybe theatrics is my forte. I fool all of you. And now I'll show you how it's done. Just let me finish putting on my make-up. So that I'll come prepared for the next game of charades.
